Georgia’s only sea turtle education and rehabilitation facility. The Center offers the public a chance to learn about sea turtles and see rehabilitation in action with a host of interactive exhibits and experiences. Year-round indoor and outdoor programs are also available for guests of all ages.

Jekyll Island is convenient to I-95, take Exit 29 and follow the signs east on U.S. 17 for approximately 10 miles. Turn right onto the Downing Musgrove Causeway (GA 520). Pass through the Jekyll Island Guest Information Center and Plaza (a $8 Daily Parking Fee required), and proceed over the Jekyll Island Bridge. Take the first left to go toward the Jekyll Island Historic Landmark District (follow the painted sea turtles on the roadway). At the stop sign, turn right onto Stable Road. The Georgia Sea Turtle Center is located on Hopkins Rd on the left in the former Power Plant building.
The Center is open to the general public and offers an interactive Exhibit Gallery and Rehabilitation Pavilion with a number of view-able sea turtle patients. The Georgia Sea Turtle Center is a hospital for ill and injured sea turtles. We are the only hospital of its kind in the state of Georgia.
