‘See’ Turtles From Afar
Connect with the Georgia Sea Turtle Center virtually right from the classroom. Meet some of our sea turtle patients tank side while connecting sea turtle life history to topics like adaptations, habitats, life cycles, conservation efforts, or veterinary care. Your tour guide will share turtle facts and the stories of our current patients along with treatment methods for rehabilitation and release.
Sessions offered October – April
Sessions are offered weekdays October–April (all eastern standard time).
Sessions must be booked a minimum of 3 weeks prior to the desired date. Additional advance notice is suggested.
Prior to booking your reservation, please review the following information:
Sessions are only available for 2nd to 12th grade & college classes
Program capacity is 50 participants (children & adults) per session. Groups larger then our maximum are required to book multiple time slots.
Know your school contact information and Skype (or similar app available on iPad) login details.
Once you reservation request & payment are submitted, you will receive a follow-up email with a link to an online form needed to complete your reservation.
A test connection is required for Virtual Field Trip sessions & must be completed at minimum one week in advance of your program
Two-way audio/visual capabilities and Skype or other similar application available on iPad is required. For the best broadcast quality, a hard-wire internet connection is recommended.
